LeBron James talks uncertain Lakers future, retirement at NBA All-Star Game

LeBron James has two things on his mind: his tenure with the Los Angeles Lakers and his future retirement.

The 39-year-old future Hall of Famer, who will appear and start in his 20th NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, announced the Lakers’ dramatic trade deadline, even though he appeared to want it with an hourglass emoji tweet. Didn’t see line upgrades being made. That fallacy has since been publicly debunked.

The Lakers added: Former Nets standout Spencer Dinwiddie However, after the guard cleared waivers after the trade deadline.

James could opt out of his contract this summer and will make $51.4 million next season.

He helped lead the Lakers to a 30-26 record with 26 games remaining, but the Lakers are only ninth in the Western Conference and will enter the play-in tournament.

James added that he is undecided on what he will do before ultimately retiring. he’ll take the last dance approachWill he announce it before the season, like Hall of Famers Kobe Bryant and Dwyane Wade, or will he quietly say, “It’s Tim Duncan,” and walk away after the season?

“I’m a Laker. I’ve been happy being a Laker for the last six years and I hope it continues to be that way,” James said when asked which team he would play for. Added later. I hope it’s the Lakers, or whatever uniform it is.”

James, in his 21st NBA season, is averaging 24.8 points, 7.8 assists and 7.2 rebounds per game while shooting 52 percent from the field, 39.5 percent from 3-point range and 74.1 percent from free throws.

After the All-Star break, James and the Lakers are scheduled to visit the Golden State Warriors in the Bay Area on February 22nd, at least for now.

The Lakers have won six of their past seven games.

Additionally, James is nearing 40,000 points in his regular season career and will reach that goal with just 132 points left.
