Alyssa Farah Griffin expressed that the left tends to endorse a free press, but this support varies when negative stories about Democrats surface, as discussed by co-hosts on ABC’s “The View” on Tuesday.
She mentioned, “I want to discuss Jake Tupper and Alex Thompson because it’s hard to find someone who knows both and, particularly in Tupper’s case, who hasn’t been critical of Trump for years. We do stand with journalists, and that’s simply not accurate.”
Co-host Whoopi Goldberg remarked, “It’s just about highlighting what his granddaughter has said.”
Griffin responded, “By the way, everyone is going to defend their families, of course.”
Goldberg replied, “Sure, that makes sense.”
Griffin then added, “But considering these two journalists are attacking politicians, what happens to their democracy? What about the fourth estate?”
