Actor James Woods reacted to the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump on Saturday, saying that those who previously joked about Trump’s death now have “blood on their hands.”
Shortly after gunshots rang out and the assassination attempt on the former president was confirmed, James Woods took to Twitter to share an iconic photo of Trump in triumph with his bloodied face and an American flag flying behind him, and denounced those who had previously called for violence.
“The left-wing lunatics who were mocking us into killing President Trump have blood on their hands today,” he said.

On Saturday, mainstream politicians from all walks of life voiced their support for the former president and unequivocally condemned all political violence.

“There is no room for this kind of violence in America,” Biden said at a news conference on Saturday.
“This is sick,” Biden added. “This is sick. This is one of the reasons we have to unite our country. We can’t allow this to happen. It shouldn’t be like this. We can’t tolerate this.”
