Lefty Protests Are Putting Pressure on Biden ‘To Get Something Done’ on Israel, But He’s Not Thinking Politics

On Friday’s “PBS NewsHour,” washington post Deputy editor and MSNBC host Jonathan Capehart believes President Joe Biden’s policy toward Israel is “free from political considerations,” but leftists criticizing the administration’s approach He said he was putting pressure on Biden to “get something done.”

“I take the administration at its word,” Capehart said. “There are no political considerations in the administration’s statements, from the president down, that they are considering how to deal with the Israel-Hamas war and how to deal with Israel. And I think that’s one of the reasons why a lot of people are upset. If the president is playing politics in this situation, there are demonstrators camping out on campus. They will do everything they can to please the participants.”

He continued, “But I want to say to the people who are protesting, to the young people who are upset, and to all the people who are outraged by what the president and his administration are doing, I want to say to you that what the president said… President Obama continues to think about criminal justice activists and people who are angry that he hasn’t done more, and who should be doing more on criminal justice and racial issues. That’s what I often said. There’s a lot of pressure inside me to accomplish something. And I think that’s what’s happening now. ”
