Legendary coach calls out NBA for booking games on ‘sacred days’ like Christmas and Easter

One of the greatest NBA coaches of all time competed against the NBA to schedule games both Christmas and Easter, calling them sacred days.

There were five games planned for the NBA for Christmas 2024, while Good Friday and Easter Monday each featured two games.

This appears to have been poorly sitting with former coach Phil Jackson, who coached Michael Jordan for six championships with the Chicago Bulls.

“Again, the NBA will test their faith by playing multiple games at Christmas and Easter… a sacred day,” Jackson wrote x.

To my surprise, this was the second time Jackson has used a social media page in almost seven years, complaining about the NBA schedule.

Jackson has vaguely spoken about his faith in his timeline in the past, but he’s back 2013 And only about the movies.

However, it should be noted that the NBA is playing the game at Christmas isn’t entirely new. 1947that second season. At the same time, the NBA reportedly had a five-game Christmas schedule since 2008. All of this was within Jackson’s tenure. He retired in 2016.

Still, the person of faith clearly has his principles. He is one of the few coaches to take an unawaited approach to the NBA campaign, and even made a statement in 2023 that he hadn’t seen the league in years.

“They had things on their backs like ‘justice’. They did something funny like, “Justice just went to the basket and equal opportunity just defeated him.” …So, my grandson thought it was pretty funny to play those names, so I couldn’t see it.

The legendary bench boss has not approved the political slogan written in NBA courts, saying the move is “trying to respond to an audience or introduce a particular audience.”

People want to view sports as “non-political,” Jackson laughed at the league due to the Covid-19 bubble in Orlando, Florida.

“They did something a bit creepy. They held back the bubble in Orlando and all the qualifying teams went there and stayed there.”

With a total of 11 championships, Jackson is known as one of the best coaches to walk the court forever, and has the ability to capitalize on his biggest personality. He dealt with Dennis Rodman, Scotty Pippen, Shaquille O’Neal, Kobe Bryant and of course Michael Jordan.
