Legendary filmmaker Woody Allen is ‘on the fence’ about making another film, says ‘the romance of filmmaking is gone’

Legendary filmmaker Woody Allen has released his latest film, “Coup de chanceThe latest film release brings Allen’s responsibilities to 50 films spanning 58 years.

Monaka airmail interview, Allen confessed that he doesn’t appreciate the filmmaking process the same way he used to. Speaking about his latest film, Coup de Chance (an erotic thriller that translates to “Stroke of Fortune”), he said: “It doesn’t matter to me whether it gets distributed here or not. Once we succeed, [the film], I don’t follow you anymore. Distribution is no longer what it used to be. Currently, the movie will be distributed in theaters for two weeks. ”

The filmmaker continued: “That’s it. I mean, ‘Annie Hall’ was in theaters in New York for a little over a year. It would be in one theater for six or seven months, and then somebody would pick it.”

Another problem Allen finds in the film industry is the process of raising money for projects.

“You don’t have to go out to raise money,” Allen said. “I think it’s a no-brainer. But if someone came along and called me and said they wanted to support this movie, I would seriously consider it. I probably don’t have the strength of will to say no. Probably not, because there are so many ideas. ”
