LEGO Celebrates LGBTQIA Pride Month with Drag Queens and Furries

Children’s toy maker Lego is celebrating LGBTQ+ Pride Month with an animated video featuring a parade of minifigures, including drag queens and furries.

LEGO posted the video to its social media accounts this week, with the company commenting, “These stunning minifigures are ready for their own epic Pride celebrations in the run up to Pride!”

The Lego Minifigure Parade features a surprising number of furries, people who get sexually aroused by dressing up as animals. Most of the furries in the video are dressed as bears, but at least one is dressed as an elephant.

Furries are sometimes called “furbarts”, mainly in the UK.

The parade also features drag queens, Village People-style cowboys, what appear to be go-go dancers, and rainbow-hued characters from Lego’s “Everything is Awesome” gay pride set for kids.

The Lego parade culminates with the toys hopping on Roombas and transforming into a Gay Pride float.

Lego has a long history of promoting homosexuality and transgender ideals in its children’s toys.

In 2021, the company introduced a new set for kids inspired by the Netflix reality show. Queer Eye — A series in which five gay men give heterosexual men makeovers.

The following year, Lego launched a video campaign called “Awesome AZ,” which aimed to celebrate “our amazing LGBTQIA+ fans.”
