Leonel Moreno, the ‘migrant influencer’ has been arrrested

Leonel Moreno, an illegal “illegal influencer” who mocked America on social media in several viral videos, has been arrested by federal immigration authorities.

On Friday, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) fugitive agents arrested Moreno in Columbus, Ohio. Fox News’ Bill Melgin.

The arrest comes after The Post exclusively reported how Moreno escaped ICE shortly after illegally crossing the southern border into Texas in 2022 and is now wanted by authorities.

While in the United States, Mr. Moreno used various social media channels to encourage other immigrants to enter the United States and illegally occupy the homes of American citizens, while brandishing wads of cash and stealing government benefits. He flaunted what he claimed to be.

In one video, Moreno was seen holding a Social Security card. He also frequently boasted about the income he made begging for cash.

“I didn’t cross the Rio Grande to work like a slave,” Moreno said in an Instagram clip. “I came to the United States to mark my territory.

“You’re hurting because you’re working like a slave and I’m making more money than you without having to work as much, you know?” Moreno wrote in another social media post. He said this:

“That’s the difference between you and me. I’m always going to make a lot of money without working much, but you’re always going to be exploited, miserable and insignificant.”

Moreno was enrolled in an alternative detention program and was monitored with a tracking device when he illegally crossed the border and was released into the United States.

But after his release, Moreno quickly became disobedient and refused to check in with authorities, according to internal ICE records reviewed by the Post.

Internal ICE records reviewed by the newspaper revealed that immigration officials were aware that Moreno “was making national news after going viral on TikTok promoting illegal immigration.” Ta.

ICE did not respond to requests for comment.
