Most Americans likely to vote in this year’s presidential election say they would prefer to deport all illegal immigrants from the United States rather than grant amnesty to them, a new poll has found.
rasmussen report investigation A majority (54%) of likely U.S. voters say they support a policy that would deport all 11 million to 22 million illegal aliens; It turned out that this included 36% who said they strongly supported the policy.
Working-class and lower-middle-class Americans, who are more likely to compete for jobs with illegal immigrants, remain strong supporters of deportation. About 60% of voters without a college education said they supported deporting illegal immigrants.
At the same time, the Americans who are most likely to employ illegal aliens at below-market wages are also the most opposed to such deportation policies. A 63% majority of people with annual incomes of $200,000 or more said they do not support deporting illegal aliens.
Fewer than 4 in 10 voters said they opposed mass deportations of illegal immigrants.

The poll is good news for former President Donald Trump, who vowed to launch “the largest domestic deportation operation in American history.”
Meanwhile, 53% of likely voters said they oppose amnesty, which would give illegal immigrants green cards and eventually naturalize them as U.S. citizens. A minority of likely voters, about 41%, said they support amnesty.
As with deportation, the issue of amnesty divides Americans across socioeconomic lines, once again highlighting winners and losers among illegal immigrants.
For example, 55% of voters with annual incomes of $30,000 to $50,000 oppose amnesty, as do 51% of voters with annual incomes of $50,000 to $100,000. Conversely, nearly 6 in 10 voters with annual incomes of $200,000 or more support amnesty for illegal immigrants.
President Joe Biden has long supported amnesty, calling undocumented immigrants “model citizens” while touting the policy at a White House event this month.
