Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac Assaulted by Stalker in Los Angeles

Lindsey Buckingham Attacked in Los Angeles

Legendary Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham was reportedly attacked on the streets of Los Angeles, where a woman confronted him and threw an “unknown substance,” as per various sources.

The incident occurred while Buckingham, 76, was about to enter a building in Santa Monica, and details emerged on Wednesday afternoon.

While police have identified the woman responsible, they have not yet made any arrests related to the case.

Authorities mentioned that the attacker had a history of confrontations with Buckingham and was believed to have stalked him previously.

Witnesses suggested that she seemed to be following him closely, indicating a pattern in her behavior. Fortunately, Buckingham did not sustain any injuries during the incident.

Earlier incidents had also involved this individual, referred to as ‘Michelle,’ who was given a five-year restraining order in December 2024 due to her persistent stalking.

In a strange 2024 incident, police unexpectedly arrived at Buckingham’s home after receiving a false report claiming his son William was in danger. It later turned out to be a prank, which Buckingham alleged was connected to his stalker.

This stalker reportedly pretended to be his daughter and made strange accusations about personal issues.

It’s unclear if the woman who confronted Buckingham on Wednesday is the same individual from past encounters.

California native Buckingham became part of Fleetwood Mac in 1975, contributing to popular hits like “Go Your Own Way,” “Tusk,” and “Big Love.” Throughout his career with the band, he earned two Grammy Awards, including one for the album Rumored Best of the Year Award.

The group is celebrated for their compelling storytelling and harmonies, which have significantly influenced music for decades.

However, following the passing of Christine McVie in 2022, Mick Fleetwood expressed a sentiment that the band may have reached an end, a view that was later echoed by Stevie Nicks. Nonetheless, Fleetwood has not officially ruled out a potential reunion among the remaining members.
