Lindsey Graham ridiculed by cruel individuals following unexpected death

In a shocking display, some internet trolls made vile comments following the death of Republican Senator Lindsey Graham. Their remarks included homophobic jokes and other offensive sentiments.

Interestingly, Graham, who passed away on Saturday at 71, received an unexpected tribute from Monica Lewinsky, former intern of then-Democratic President Bill Clinton.

Actor Liam Cunningham, known for his role in Game of Thrones, remarked, “Lindsey Graham has passed away. Have a great Sunday!” on X.

Author Seth Harp humorously said, “I was going to urinate on Lindsey Graham’s grave, but when I got out of the military, I swore I’d never stand in line for anything again.”

Correspondent Wyatt Reed shared on X, “Congratulations to all peace-loving people on Earth — the world is a little brighter today. Happy Holidays to all who celebrate!”

White supremacist Nick Fuentes added a mocking comment as well, stating “Good exile” on X, while Ana Kasparian from the radical news outlet “Young Turks” echoed a similar sentiment: “Good for you.”

Some comments centered around Graham’s rumored sexual orientation since he was single and without children.

Journalist John Teufel quipped, “Everyone at CNN was calling Lindsey Graham a ‘complicated’ man. Please tell me he’s gay (lol).”

Another user, Eric Spracklen, urged, “Stop pretending to be happy about Lindsey Graham and pray for his wife and children.”

Criticism of the trolls came from various users, including former mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt, who commented, “You can tell a lot about a person by how they react when they die.”

Journalist Piers Morgan compared the negative social media responses to Graham’s death with those that followed the death of British politician Anne Widecombe, dubbing them “vile, cruel, heartless, and abusive.” He pointed out that many on the left, often so vocal about kindness, showed anything but.

Lewinsky, in a surprising defense of Graham, thanked him for his support during her own controversies. She wrote, “Although I disagreed with many of Lindsey Graham’s choices and beliefs, he was also the man who worked tirelessly… to prove that there was a smear campaign against me from within WH. Rest in Peace.”

A statement from Graham’s office indicated he died after a “brief illness.” Notably, he had just returned from his tenth visit to Ukraine since the Russian invasion began.

Following Graham’s passing, President Trump remarked on their close relationship, referring to him as “like family,” while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy praised Graham as a “true defender of the values of freedom and union.”
