‘Lioness’ Casts Three More Names In Upcoming Season

Taylor Sheridan's “Lionesses” will add three more A-list stars to its upcoming second season, Deadline revealed Friday.

Kirk Acevedo, Patricia de Leon and Max Martini may not be household names yet, but the trio has made their way into a new world of entertainment by starring in the Sheridan Paramount Universe show “Lioness.” According to According to Deadline, the three actors will appear in recurring roles in the hit military spy drama alongside Nicole Kidman, Morgan Freeman, Zoe Saldana and Michael Kelly.

Martini will play the role of Tracer, who the outlet describes as a “Special Forces manhunter.” Acevedo will join the show as Gutierrez in his “enhanced FBI days.” De Leon will play Maria, a “wealthy Dallas resident.”

“In Season 2, as the CIA's war on terror moves closer to home, Joe (Saldanha), Caitlin (Kidman) and Byron (Kelly) recruit new Lioness operatives to infiltrate a previously unknown threat. As pressure mounts from all sides, Joe is forced to confront the steep sacrifices he's made as leader of the Lioness program,” Deadline revealed about the upcoming season. The series premiere garnered a total of six million viewers, breaking records as the most-watched series premiere globally on the Paramount+ platform.

For an actor, appearing on Sheridan's series is a big deal, and as long as he brings a good attitude, does his job, and keeps his commitments, he's almost guaranteed to get opportunities on his other projects. (RELATED: 'Yellowstone' spinoff announces new cast members)

So far, other projects include “Yellowstone,” “1923,” “Madison,” “The Tulsa King” and “The Landman,” as well as a few other movies that are getting a bit of buzz.

“Lionesses” returns to Paramount+ on October 27th, so production crew better get started on filming fast!
