Coach Dan Campbell said Tuesday morning that he is preparing to miss Jameson Williams for the next few games.
That's because the Detroit Lions wide receiver is reportedly scheduled to receive a two-game suspension for violating the league's performance improvement policy.
“I can't say anything about this until the league makes a decision and the outcome is clear, and it's up to the league. I shouldn't really comment on it. All I can say is, we're going to miss him. It just means we're ready,''' Campbell said on local radio.

This is not Williams' first suspension. He missed six games last season for violating the league's gambling rules.
But Campbell is confident his attacking-minded Lions won't miss a beat.
“And we're fine, so we have (Kaliph Raymond) and [Amon-Ra St. Brown] And (Sam) LaPorta and TP (Tim Patrick) and Allen Robinson, especially David Montgomery and (Jahmil) Gibbs. it's okay. Move on. If this goes down, if it goes down, we'll be fine. ”
Williams has been breaking out for most of the season. In the first five games, he had 16 receptions for 365 yards and three touchdowns, but this weekend he had just one catch for minus-4 yards.

The majority of his yards come from his big play ability with his breakaway speed. His receiving distances are 70, 52, 50, 37, 36, 27, and 24 yards.
Sure, Jared Goff is the de facto No. 2 receiver and will miss out on the best chance of a lightning strike, but Goff has been playing his best football anyway. He's right in the MVP race with a 73.6 completion percentage, 1,610 yards, and 10 touchdowns as the Lions are 5-1. He leads the NFL in yards per attempt, thanks in large part to Williams.

Thankfully for Detroit, Williams' absence this Sunday at home against the Tennessee Titans may not be that important. But next weekend's NFC North game in Green Bay is expected to be even tougher than before.
