Liver King Returns After Arrest for Alleged Terroristic Threats
The well-known fitness influencer, often recognized for his unusual diet centered around raw meat, has made his return online following his arrest. Brian Johnson, known as “Liver King,” was taken into custody on suspected terrorist threats made against UFC commentator Joe Rogan. According to an Instagram update, he was released from a Texas jail after being arrested on Tuesday night.
Wednesday night, he quickly took to social media to speak about his arrest. In a series of somewhat disjointed videos, he seemed to take jabs at Rogan without directly addressing him.
Incident Before the Arrest
In one of the videos, Johnson recounted events leading up to his detention, stating, “Man, he thought you just put them in jail.” He also mentioned that the violent crime department got involved regarding the terror threat against Rogan.
Additionally, he claimed to have received restraining orders following the alleged threats. “If anyone knows someone else who rhymes with ‘Blow’, whose last name is Logan,” he said, seemingly alluding to Rogan.
He stated, “But I don’t want to give details or names. That’s why you don’t want to prepare for a fight, and you thought the video would stop. But they thought it wouldn’t stop.” This came just two days after Johnson shared videos on Instagram, one of which depicted him shirtless, holding what looked like two golden firearms, and suggesting he was heading to Rogan’s hometown.
In one video, he mentioned, “Joe Rogan, I’m going to call you,” expressing a seemingly casual challenge.
Police Involvement
The Austin Police Department disclosed that Rogan reported feeling threatened by Johnson’s video, even though the two have never met. Consequently, detectives secured a warrant for Johnson’s arrest, leading to his apprehension at a nearby hotel.
Handcuffed and seated behind a police vehicle, Johnson later posted on Instagram, giving a glimpse of his circumstances.
Acclaimed for his “ancestral lifestyle,” Johnson promotes a diet primarily based on raw animal products, including liver. He now faces charges related to making a terrorist threat, having initially been held at Travis County Jail.
As of now, neither representatives for Rogan nor Johnson have commented on the situation.
