You could say she hit a home run with her second shot.
After her attempt to buy Babe Ruth’s old mansion on the Upper West Side was turned down by the co-op board, Olivia “Livi” Dunn has now secured a new apartment downtown, according to reports.
The 23-year-old social media influencer and former LSU gymnast has moved to the West Village, where she’s joined other well-known personalities in this desirable area.
She purchased a one-bedroom, two-bathroom condo at 345 West 14th Street for $1.95 million, as revealed in public records.
This purchase concludes a much-publicized search for a new home, which garnered significant attention when Dunn shared with her 8 million TikTok followers that she had been blocked from buying Ruth’s former residence on West 88th Street.
“Most of the residents voted against me living there, which is fine,” she noted at the time. She had even started planning renovations in her mind before hearing about the board’s decision.
A spokesperson for the Upper West Side co-op had expressed their surprise and frustration regarding the board’s decision concerning Dunn.
This co-op, built in 1915, is steeped in baseball history, as Ruth lived there during the 1920s and 1930s while playing for the Yankees with his family.
In contrast to her previous pursuit of Ruth’s historically rich home, Dunn’s new living space is decidedly modern.
The condo, constructed in 2014, spans over 1,100 square feet, featuring high ceilings, contemporary custom finishes, and a kitchen equipped with a Wolf range, Sub-Zero fridge, and granite countertops.
The primary suite includes two closets and an elegant bathroom finished in Spanish travertine, and the building boasts a lovely rooftop deck, a fitness center, and full-time staff.
“It’s not Babe Ruth’s apartment, but I’m okay with that,” Dunn had remarked while searching for a new place.
The listing was managed by Mackenzie Ryan of Douglas Elliman, but both Ryan and Dunn opted not to comment on the transaction.
