A local journalist in Pennsylvania said reporters were not allowed to ask Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz questions at a campaign event in Lancaster County on Wednesday.
The Democratic vice presidential nominee stopped by the Lancaster County Democratic Committee field office with his daughter that morning as part of his ongoing campaigning in the state.

“Governor Tim Walz was speaking to callers at the Lancaster County Democratic Committee field office, accompanied by his daughter Hope. He spoke to supporters for approximately 6-7 minutes. Governor Walz was not taking questions from the media in the room and was not allowed to have a microphone set up while he was speaking,” Kratz wrote.

She added, “One of the journalists tried to shout a question but was told, 'Don't interrupt the show.'”
FOX43 later confirmed with Fox News Digital that reporters were denied access to Waltz following further comments from Kratz.
“We (reporters) as a group have asked multiple times if Governor Walz could speak near the podium and if we could have a microphone at the podium, and have been denied,” Kratz told Fox News Digital.

She continued, “After Governor Walz finished speaking with volunteers, a reporter from the local NBC affiliate (WGAL) shouted questions and was told by the campaign not to interrupt the Governor's interaction with volunteers.”
Fox News Digital has reached out to Harris' campaign for comment.
Harris and Waltz avoid the media while giving interviews, but are criticized online for being “completely scripted and fake”
Waltz and Vice President Kamala Harris have largely avoided press interviews since Harris' presidential campaign began in July. After more than six weeks, Harris and Waltz gave their first public interviews on Thursday in a pre-recorded interview with CNN's Dana Bash.

Ms Harris was widely criticised for the interview, with critics questioning why the vice president could not have conducted her first major interview without Mr Waltz.
She has yet to even hold a formal press conference.
