Lockdown At High School In Georgia, Casualties Reported

Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia is currently on lockdown following reports of a shooting. Multiple casualties have been reported.

The number of victims and their current condition are not yet known, but a local hospital is reporting that one person is “being treated for multiple gunshot wounds” in connection to the shooting.

Video taken from outside the school showed a large police presence at the high school, with at least five ambulances also on scene.

Georgia Governor Brian Kemp (R-Ga.) told X that he had “deployed all available state resources to respond to the incident at Apalachee High School.”

Winder is a community located one hour outside of Atlanta, Georgia. The town has a population of 18,338.
