The post appeared to be a jab at the Dodgers, who added another star player to their team after winning the 2024 World Series.
The 23-year-old announced his decision to join Los Angeles. Instagram post The long-awaited sweepstakes ends on Friday.
The Athletic then reported Sasaki's contract bonus was reportedly $6.5 million.
Sasaki posted a 2.02 ERA in the four seasons he played in Japan and emerged as one of the most promising overseas talents.
The right-hander was also a member of Team Japan when it won the 2023 World Baseball Classic, playing alongside future Dodgers teammates Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
After hearing bids from 20 MLB teams, Sasaki narrowed his choices down to the Dodgers, Padres and Blue Jays, ultimately choosing the reigning champions.
Webb's Giants have made their own acquisitions in free agency, with Willie Adames and Justin Verlander being the two headliners so far.
To add to the injury problem, the Dodgers plucked two-time Cy Young Award winner Blake Snell from the Giants and signed him to a five-year contract in November.
The Giants, who finished 80-82 last season, will have a tough road ahead in a crowded National League West division with the Dodgers, Padres and Diamondbacks competitive.
