London police search for ‘Ted Lasso’ thieves who robbed four homes featured in the hit show

Police in London are hunting down a gang of thieves who have robbed four homes featured in the Apple TV+ comedy “Ted Lasso” over the past two months, some of whom coincidentally include famous British celebrities. It included some belongings of rock stars.

Multiple homes across London's Richmond Green have been ransacked as the group remains at large. All of the houses were used as sets for the show.

Residents in the area suspect these homes were specifically targeted because of their shared involvement in the Emmy Award-winning series.

“It's devastating. People are scared they will be attacked next,” said a neighbor. solar.

Their first home, an eight-bedroom apartment, was burglarized on November 2nd. The thieves managed to make off with an entire unopened case containing a large amount of valuables, including jewelry. Neighbors told The Sun that the tenants were so shaken by the violations that they quickly upped and moved out.

One of the houses used by Hannah Waddingham's character in the show is worth around €3.3 million.

In early December, the gang tried to break into the $3.4 million home occupied by the main character, played by Hannah Waddingham, but residents woke up during the attempted robbery. The group fled, leaving behind the ladder they used to enter the garden.

On December 18, a nearby four-bed house was desecrated. The thieves made off with the safe again, but this time it was secured with bolts. Inside was believed to be nearly $500,000 worth of jewelry. According to The Sun newspaper, the robbery occurred shortly after the occupants of the home had left, raising concerns that the house might have been watched or had been staked out in advance.

Rock musician Richard Ashcroft's $9 million home was broken into on December 29th while he and his wife Kate Radley were away.

The house alarm went off and neighbors called the police, but by the time the attackers arrived, they were gone and an estimated $1.2 million worth of items had been stolen, including luxury watches.

“There would have been a good chance that the gang would have been caught if the police had gotten the call and turned themselves in. But now the gang is free to find their next target. We are all scared now. He lives inside,” a neighbor told The Sun.

Police believe the gang consists of a total of six suspects. Four of the suspects are believed to have committed the crime by breaking into homes, and are always carrying crowbars. The other two people are suspected of being in charge of keeping watch.

“You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to guess that someone in the gang probably watched the show at some point. They must have been aware of the rich harvest available in the area. No,” one resident told The Sun.

Local residents fear a target group known as 'Ted Lasso' may also be behind the overall increase in home thefts across Richmond Green.

“We are aware of a number of robberies occurring in the Richmond Green area and are taking proactive steps to deter criminals and reassure residents. Inquiries are ongoing. Some of the break-ins are believed to be linked,” said Interim Inspector General of the Metropolitan Police. Addendum Dan O'Sullivan told The Sun:
