Look toward contract incentives to boost fantasy football team in Week 18

There are all kinds of monsters in this world. Featuring fun and playful monsters such as Mike Wazowski and Sully from Monsters, Inc.

And then there are the somewhat terrifying metaphorical monsters that seem to live inside the head of Phish guitarist and lead vocalist Trey Anastasio.

There are also plenty of mythical monsters like Bigfoot and the sea serpent found in Loch Ness, as well as super scary monsters like Pennywise, Pinhead, and even Dr. Frankenstein's creations.

But is there a monster worse than this one in this realm? fantasy soccer Who is the commissioner who will let you play until the end of Week 18?

Probably not.

But we find ourselves facing these demons and have to take another look at who deserves a spot in the starting lineup.

Obviously, we're looking for players who are scheduled to play this week.

Many games have playoff implications, but we all know that money moves the bus.

Some players have statistical milestones and contract incentives that trigger significant cash bonuses when they are reached. These are the players we want to invest in.

The player everyone knows is Mike Evans of the Buccaneers.

Five more receptions and 85 receiving yards would earn him another $3 million, but neither he nor Baker Mayfield were afraid to discuss that.

But there are some other targets you might want to take advantage of.

The Titans are out of playoff contention, but running back Tony Pollard needs 83 more rushing yards to reach 1,000 yards on the season and earn a $250,000 bonus.

Two more touchdowns would mean another $200,000.

With Tyje Spears out with a concussion, Pollard should continue to lead the way against a Houston team that will likely rest its starters by the second half.

If your collection of starters is benched or you're looking for a DFS dart throw, Marquez Valdes-Scantling will need one touchdown catch to earn $250,000.

His targets are minimal, but we've seen him produce in the past, and now he's playing against a Buccaneers team that continues to struggle in pass coverage.

Do you want to bet on the NFL?

The expression to cherish this week is “chasing money.” If you need to find players to fill out your roster, think about who has the most available incentives.

To fight these monsters that will have you playing in Week 18, Benjamin's army will be your best bet.
