Lori Lightfoot’s Commitment to Expose ICE Agents

Former Chicago Mayor, Lori Lightfoot, announced plans to develop a real-time portal aimed at tracking supposed criminal conduct by ICE and CBP agents, stressing her intention to “expose” their actions.

As U.S. Border Patrol Senior Commander Gregory Bovino hints that the agency will maintain a presence in Chicago for the foreseeable future, Lightfoot warned federal officials that a “day of reckoning” looms.

Bovino commented on social media, cautioning, “If you believe Chicago is finished, you should reconsider before self-destruction.” He added, “Don’t say we’re coming back. We’re going to be here for years,” referencing lyrics from an LL Cool J song in a video post.

Lightfoot took offense to Bovino’s response, calling him a “glory hound” and criticizing the actions of the CBP under his command as unconstitutional and embarrassing. She concluded her remarks with a clear warning about his impending “day of reckoning.”

In a recent post, Bovino reiterated that the U.S. Border Patrol is committed to maintaining order in Chicago, despite opposition. He claimed they have established a strategy to remove criminal elements from the streets, insisting, “We work for you.”

Current Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson has voiced support for using an “Abolish ICE” slogan on a new snowplow, inviting public submissions for the name. Lightfoot pointed out that this initiative reflects a community sentiment against ICE.

In response to Johnson’s announcement, Bovino quipped about renaming a snowplow “Reality Check,” suggesting that Johnson seems overly fixated on border security concerns. Johnson fired back, reminding Bovino that it’s Chicagoans who vote on snowplow names, and many of them want him out of their city.
