Lori Loughlin has shared some of the sadness she felt upon learning of the death of her co-star and friend Bob Saget.
We talked about “How rude of you, Taneritos!” In a podcast hosted by Full House co-stars Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber, Loughlin vividly recalled the moment she heard about Saget’s tragic death.
“I was playing golf. It was Sunday, and I was with them.” [husband Mossimo Giannulli] “So I just came out of the golf course and I had my cell phone in my bag,” Loughlin recalled.
She continued: “I took my phone out of my bag and I had probably 25 missed calls. I looked at my phone and I saw 25 missed calls from John.” [Stamos].He has 15 missed calls from Dave. [Coulier].I think I had a few missed calls from Candice. [Cameron-Bure]. And when I was looking at my phone and thinking, “Oh, that’s not good,” all these missed calls, I couldn’t imagine what was going on, but my hand The cell phone inside rang and it was Jody. ”

John Stamos on Bob Saget’s death: ‘I’m not ready to say goodbye yet’
When she responded, Loughlin remembers Sweetin saying, “It’s Bob…he’s gone.”
“I just got down on my knees and that’s all I remember.” [Mossimo] “He wanted to pick me up and take me to the car in the parking lot,” Loughlin said. I still can’t believe it. I still can’t believe it. ”
Saget passed away on January 9, 2022 at the age of 65 from an accidental head injury. His family said in a statement at the time that Saget “accidentally hit the back of his head against something and fell asleep without thinking.” ”
Sweetin described the week surrounding Saget’s death as “surreal,” a sentiment Loughlin agreed with, adding, “It’s still real.”

“I’m so disappointed. I’m still somehow still thinking, ‘Oh, maybe he’ll come back.’ I just can’t believe it,” she said.
“But he was wonderful and what a good man he was. He had three beautiful daughters,” Loughlin added. “His first wife Shelley was just a lovely person and Kelly [Rizzo] It’s just amazing. And I’m glad he found Kelly, even if it took a short amount of time. He waited a long time for Kelly to get that kind of love. I was glad he had it for a little while. ”
She also said her thoughts were with Saget’s daughters, saying, “It’s a great loss for all of us, but especially for them.”
Lizzo revealed in January that Loughlin had actually arrived at Saget’s grave before placing flowers on the second anniversary of Saget’s death.

“It was kind of a funny moment because I went to visit him in the morning at the cemetery and I brought some small flower-like things with me. And as soon as I got there, a big flower arrangement was prepared. “I was there,” Rizzo said. Fox News Digital. “I knew it was from Lori Loughlin. I thought, ‘It must be from Lori.'” And sure enough, they were from Lori. ”
“She was there too and it was really nice for us both to be able to leave flowers for Bob. It was great to be able to spend time with him,” she added.
Loughlin admitted on the podcast that she still visits Saget’s grave regularly.

“Project Angel Food’s route when I deliver is right by the cemetery. So what I do is I make the delivery, then I stop and get the flowers and I go there and… ‘I’m going to put them in the grave,’ she explained.
“There’s something strangely comforting about it. His family is there, so he’s close to his mother, father, and sister. But the fact that he’s so close to Warner Bros., where he filmed the show, in a way It’s a strange comfort,” Loughlin added.
