Los Angeles boasts a vibrant sports atmosphere, and we’re thrilled to share that enthusiasm on a global scale.
Whether you’re a devoted supporter or just searching for a fun evening with family, there’s plenty to enjoy.
World Cup 26
Los Angeles has been chosen as one of 16 North American cities to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup, scheduled from June 11 to July 19.
The USA team will kick off their tournament at SoFi Stadium, where eight matches will be held, including five group-stage games, two Round of 32 games, and a quarterfinal before the finals in New Jersey.
It’s more than just a game; the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum will also host a FIFA Fan Festival from June 11 to 15. This event promises a global celebration filled with live matches, interactive experiences, music, entertainment, plus a smorgasbord of food and drinks.
An official fan zone will be set up, offering a lively atmosphere for fans and their families to soak in the festivities. Various activities will also take place throughout the city.
Soccer
One quick note: LA’s professional soccer teams will pause their seasons in preparation for the World Cup. Major League Soccer resumes on July 16, while the National Women’s Soccer League will be on break until June.
LA FC and Angel City FC will continue their regular games at BMO Stadium downtown. Angel City, which joined the Women’s Professional Soccer League in 2022, hosts unique promotions at their matches, like Kids Day on April 26 and “Disney Princess Night” on August 16.
Meanwhile, the LA Galaxy, holders of a record six MLS Cup victories, will also resume their season. They’re currently offering a “family pack” deal that includes four tickets, four hot dogs, and four sodas for $150, plus $20 tickets for students with a valid .edu email address.
Baseball
The Dodgers are aiming for their third straight World Series win. This powerhouse consistently attracts major crowds, thanks to a star-studded roster highlighted by Shohei Ohtani, themed nights, and various giveaways celebrating the rich culture of Los Angeles.
Down the road from Disneyland Park, the Angels rolled out the red carpet for their home opener against the Seattle Mariners earlier this month. They offer a range of campaigns and perks, hosting family-friendly events like Saturday night fireworks and “Family Sunday,” which allows kids to participate in games and activities for up to six innings, plus a chance to run the bases afterward.
On Independence Day, both teams will celebrate with fireworks, adding a festive touch to the 250th anniversary of the nation’s independence.
Basketball
The NBA regular season has concluded, and playoffs are now in full swing. The Lakers, with LeBron James, and the Clippers, led by Kawhi Leonard, are competing at the Crypto.com Arena and in the newly built Intuit Dome in Inglewood, respectively.
The WNBA is marking its 30th anniversary, with Kelsey Plum and the Sparks slated to open their season on May 10 against the reigning champions, the Las Vegas Aces.
This year, the WNBA expands to 15 teams, the largest since the early 2000s, promising an exciting season filled with both new and existing franchises and their superstar athletes at Crypto.com Arena.
Hockey
The anticipated 2026 Winter Olympics are approaching, marking the return of professional hockey to the West Coast after a 12-year absence, culminating in the U.S. men’s first gold medal since 1980.
The Kings feature five returning Olympians and are currently offering ticket packages, one of which includes a $30 food and beverage voucher. Another offer includes a New Era hat of your choice.
Meanwhile, the Ducks, welcome back defenseman and Team USA gold medalist Jackson Lacombe, hosting themed nights, giveaways, and special ticket packs that come with a custom duck-themed goalie mask at Honda Center.
Olympic
And there’s more! LA continues to extend its sports legacy as it gears up to host the Summer Olympics and Paralympics in 2028.
This event, set in some of the city’s most iconic locations—from world-class venues downtown to stunning beaches along the coast—will take place in its record-tying third year. Though it may seem far off, the journey to 2028 has already begun.
