Loyola Chicago fan Sister Jean left hanging by players in viral clip

Poor Jean-nee.

The 105-year-old Loyola Chicago men's basketball program super fan and team pastor failed to receive fist pumps from several distracted players on Wednesday night in a video that went viral.

Sister Jean probably sat in a wheelchair outside the tunnel leading to the locker room, pumping her fist in celebration of a 76-54 home victory over Eastern Michigan.

The short clip shows junior guard Kimany Huinsou celebrating by holding out his left hand before the unknown player passes by without saying hello to Sister Jean.

Junior guard Justin Moore and senior forward Jalen DeLoach then passed her without an extended fist, but both seemed distracted. The two upperclassmen looked to the right toward the stands as they exited the building, and apparently did not see Sister Jean as they passed her.

Understandably, some were displeased to see Sister Jean left hanging (as if unintentionally).

“Why did they do that to Sister Jean? 💔” X's college basketball content account tweeted.

Barstool Sports' X account posted: “Sister Jean didn't lead Loyola Chicago to the Final Four just to receive this kind of treatment.”
