LSU Football Coach Brian Kelly had a hard time hiding his emotions during a media availability Sunday night after USC took advantage of what he described as a lack of discipline in the 27-20 loss.
Kelly slammed his fist on the table during the post-game press conference to voice his frustration with the team, including several personal fouls that had cost players scoring opportunities. Trojans And the offense was unable to capitalize on the points in the red zone.

“We had some guys play their hearts out tonight and here we are sitting here talking about it again! We were in position to make the shot and we didn't make it, and what we're doing on the sideline is we feel like the game's over,” Kelly yelled enthusiastically.

“I'm so angry and I have to do something. I haven't done a good enough job as a coach. I have to coach better. It's unacceptable that we didn't find a way to win this football game. It's ridiculous.”
LSU led by four points in the third quarter, but USC tied it with two minutes left, enough time for Miller Moss to link up with Kyron Hudson to get the Trojans within field goal range.
However, LSU's Jourdan Gilbert was targeted, and the Trojans advanced to the LSU 13-yard line, where Woody Marks ran it in. Winning score.

LSU player ruled unsportsmanlike conduct for pretending to fire gun after touchdown
“I think for the first time since I've been here I've been pretty upset with our football team. Overall, we didn't play complimentary football… But the thing that concerns me the most is the personal fouls. The selfish penalties. Both of those lead to goals and the undisciplined penalties,” Kelly said.
“We pride ourselves on running a disciplined program, but the fact that it affected the game means we clearly didn't do a good enough job.”
“We had chances to beat this team but we let our guard down and instead of showing better focus and a calm killer instinct when we were leading, we just made mistakes. It's disappointing.”
