Luka Doncic seems tired of the way Nico Harrison talks about the February blockbuster between the Lakers and Mavericks.
between Sit-in interview with ESPN On Friday, Don Sic, 26, revealed that he and Maverick’s general manager have not spoken about terms since February 2nd in a deal with the Lakers.
Harrison, 52, spent time trying to justify the blockbuster trade that sent 10-time All-Star Anthony Davis to the Mavericks.
Donick seemed disappointed by the executive’s recent remarks.
Harrison, along with new Mavericks CEO Rick Weltz, held an hour-long media session with a Dallas-based group of reporters, clarifying their reasoning behind the trade.
“It’s sad that he’s talking about now,” Donsic said of Harrison in an interview aired Friday. “I have nothing wrong with him. I just want to move on. Fans, my former teacher, I always keep it in my mind. That’s when I move on from there.”
“I have no regrets about trade,” Harrison said. I said this during a media session this week. “Part of my job is to do the best for the Mavericks not only today but in the future. And some of the decisions I make will not be popular. That’s my job and I have to support it.”
The executive also reiterates the phrase “defense victory championship,” suggesting Donsic struggled defensively.
“I mean it’s painful depending on how you take it,” Donsic said. “It came mostly from Dallas, so I didn’t want to talk about it. But I don’t read that much. I’m trying to focus on my journey.”
Donsic also said he threw his cell phone after hearing the trade news and showed him the phone during the interview.
“I was actually in bed,” said Donsic. I said it when he first found out About trade. “My TV wasn’t working so I was watching my iPad try to put a movie to sleep. The first thing I said was probably three times. [an] April 1st [joke]? ”
The five-time All-Star was primarily “in shock,” and was heartbroken when the news broke and said he was planning to spend his entire career in Dallas.
Donsic, who is eligible to sign a long-term contract with the Lakers this summer, didn’t hesitate when asked about his chances of staying in Los Angeles for a long time.
“Yes,” Donsic said.
