Brenda Song Critiques Alaska Airlines Over Flight Incident
Brenda Song, fiancée of Macaulay Culkin, recently voiced her discontent regarding Alaska Airlines after encountering a troubling situation during family travel.
The 37-year-old actress, who has two daughters, Dakota, 4, and Carson, 3, with the 45-year-old “Home Alone” star, took to social media on Saturday. She criticized the airline for unexpectedly giving away her pre-booked first class seat on the day of travel, which resulted in her being separated from her young children.
In her Instagram Story, Song expressed her frustration, saying, “I didn’t realize that after planning for six months, @alaskaair could just take away your seat on the morning of travel without a heads-up, leaving you apart from your 3 and 4-year-olds.”
“We’re never flying @alaskaair again, and neither should you,” she added, tagging Culkin in her post.
Culkin supported Song’s grievances by sharing her message on his Instagram Story and joked, “Hell hath no fury like Brenda’s scorn.”
An Alaska Airlines representative responded to the situation, stating, “Today’s guest experience was unacceptable and does not reflect the care we strive to provide. We reached out to the family to ensure we address the issue appropriately.” The spokesperson added that they are proud to be a family-friendly airline and apologized for any discomfort caused.
The incident sparked mixed reactions online, with many supporting Song’s complaints while others perceived it as an overreaction. For instance, one user commented, “Brenda has every right to be upset. She paid for the ticket and didn’t want to be split from her kids.” In contrast, some critics dismissed her grievances, suggesting that celebrities should not complain about everyday issues.
Song and Culkin met in 2014 but only began dating seriously years later after reuniting in 2017. They welcomed their daughters in 2021 and 2022, respectively, and got engaged in January 2022. They often express excitement about their future together and the joys of family travel.
Song has mentioned that now that their children are older, they’ve enjoyed family trips more, particularly a recent outing to Hawaii, where the kids had a wonderful time. She shared her love for exploring different cultures and cuisines, hoping to visit places like Fiji or Japan in the future.
