“I was the first to say he was going to be ‘Ruth Bader Biden,’ and I still think that’s a possibility, although I still think we’d do better with a younger candidate. , well, maybe not. Let’s see. He did well last night,” Maher said. “I said, ‘I don’t think he’s doing a bad job as president. He can do the job. He can’t win the office because running for president is tough. I think.”

“And we said, ‘Well, he can’t do what he did last time, stay in the basement because there was a pandemic.’ Yes, he can,” Maher continued. “No one cares about it. We talk about it in our chatty classes. And the public is like, what do I care about?! I don’t want to see this all the time anyway! I hate it.” “You have to see him every day. He doesn’t have to travel all over the country. Stay where he is. Make speeches like this every now and then.”

Pac correspondent Tara Palmeri fired back at Maher, saying he needs to do “more interviews”, “more press conferences” and “actually face the press”.

“No,” Maher groaned.

“Why not?” Palmeri asked.

“Because he’s not feeling well,” Maher admitted. “Hey, that’s a terrible strategy. This was great. It was on the teleprompter. And sometimes, [Republicans] It was played right in his hands. Look, someone heckled him. He can riff because he’s not weak enough to do it. But since we’re on a campaign, I mean, come on. He took a piece of awful fish and slipped it on the ice, sliding it off his tongue, which he always does. ”

“But that doesn’t inspire confidence. And people want confidence,” Palmeri further emphasized.

“I don’t think they care,” Maher replied. “If you know, very strategically, look at him in a good light every once in a while. That’s what they would do if it was show business!”

Palmeri went on to say that the longer Biden is out of the public eye, the more the “right-wing media ecosystem” will expose the president to a hidden state controlled by “faceless bureaucrats on a leash.” He argued that this could continue to create the perception that they are “zombies.”

“I think it’s better to say you’re a zombie than to look like a zombie,” Maher said, before moving on.
