Mallory Edens is putting her feelings into the open.
The model and film producer appeared to take a jab at Aaron Rodgers over his recent comments about past relationships in an Instagram post on Monday. This also marked the first time Edens has publicly referred to him as her ex-boyfriend.
“My ex is currently on a press tour talking about how he never loved anyone he dated after 2017,” she stated in her caption.
“Unfortunately for him, I am also on a press tour for a movie inspired by how down bad I was. Really exciting time for competing narratives!! ❤️ Charlie Harper hits theaters everywhere this Friday 🤞”
Edens, whose father is Wes Edens, co-owner of the Milwaukee Bucks, was briefly linked to the Super Bowl champion in 2023 before he tied the knot with his current wife, Brittani.
At 30, Edens is producing the new romantic comedy “Charlie Harper,” which she suggested draws from her experience with Rodgers, seemingly responding to his candid remarks during a two-part episode of the “Not Just Football with Cam Heyward” podcast on September 10.
Rodgers shared that his wife is the one who got away when looking back on his engagements with actress Shailene Woodley in 2022 and former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick in 2020.
He recounted how he met his wife in 2017, regretting not proposing immediately when she was set to leave for Europe. He mentioned feeling emotionally unavailable for several years due to having met “the person that changed my life,” which includes his time with Edens, who gained attention when representing the Bucks at the 2014 NBA Draft Lottery.
“And after that, I just poured everything I had into football, and I think I got a lot out of that for sure, but I knew I was supposed to be with this one person, but we were separated by an ocean for a lot of it,” he explained.
Their relationship ended sometime in 2024, before Rodgers hinted at a new romance during an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” that same year.
By June 2025, the 42-year-old revealed he had been married for “a couple months.”
On the podcast, Rodgers also harshly criticized his previous relationships, claiming that the narratives from both Patrick and Woodley regarding their breakups were inaccurate.
He noted that he and Patrick ended their two-year relationship in 2020, suggesting things soured after her retirement in 2017 when she struggled with depression.
“But I didn’t leave her because I was trying to be there and be a good partner. Then it was going a certain direction obviously. There was no intimacy; there was nothing…” he mentioned. “She tells a story that she was so blindsided and getting left by me, and he leaves a trail of blood around him. And I’m like, what are you talking about? That’s not what happened.”
Rodgers proposed to Woodley in December 2021, but their engagement ended in March 2022, shortly after going public with their relationship. He expressed that he didn’t cause any harm to Woodley’s life, indicating that she wanted to be with someone else in 2022.
“I proposed to Shailene and she said yes. Now, she maybe felt like she was forced to make a decision. She could have said no,” Rodgers stated. He recounted a moment shortly after the proposal where Woodley told him, “Before we get married, I gotta go f–k this guy,” emphasizing that she had portrayed him as the villain in her story.
Woodley, now 34, later discussed their breakup in light of a traumatic incident she experienced that year.
As for Rodgers, he’s in what he claims is his final year in the NFL, stating plans to retire after the 2026 season. The Steelers have started the season with a record of 1-1 following a tough 20-3 defeat against the Patriots on Sunday.
This game marked one of the roughest of Rodgers’ career, completing 23 of 39 passes for 187 yards and throwing one interception. He was replaced late in the fourth quarter by backup quarterback Mason Rudolph during what many considered a lost cause.
