A 47-year-old man was stabbed to death by a suspicious suspect inside a Harlem apartment on Sunday afternoon, police said.
Authorities say the victim was stabbed multiple times in an apartment near East 132nd Street and Madison Avenue around 12:20 p.m.
The victim was taken to Harlem Hospital, where he died from his injuries, police said.
The suspect fled the building and has not yet been arrested.
It is estimated that the man was around 50 years old. He was last seen wearing dark clothing.
According to police, it is currently unclear whether the victim and suspect know each other or what their relationship is.
The identity of the victim was not released Sunday night pending notification of family members.
Police could not say whether the victim was killed in the home, but several people were grieving outside 58 East 132nd Street Sunday afternoon as investigators were on the scene.
