Incident at Houston Texans Stadium

A 21-year-old worker was arrested following an incident involving the sexual assault of an 8-year-old boy at the Houston Texans Stadium, as reported by the Houston Police Department.

The child’s mother recounted that while her son was washing his hands, an employee directed him to a restroom stall, and she followed him inside.

“I always think about that Good Samaritan. I want to shake his hand and say thank you,” she expressed, reflecting on the situation.

Authorities identified the suspect as Uchey Marquis Nixon, who was employed as a restroom attendant with Aramark. The family claimed he behaved inappropriately, causing the boy to leave the stall in fear.

A bystander observed part of the interaction and informed the boy’s parents about what occurred.

“I could tell by the sound in his voice that he was very worried,” noted the mother. The boy repeatedly mentioned something felt off, saying, “I don’t know, that didn’t seem right.” It was clear he was distressed.

After the boy revealed that Nixon had pulled down his pants, his father quickly responded, taking him back to the restroom to identify the suspect.

Though Nixon attempted to hide in a supply area, police apprehended him after receiving information from his father.

According to the authorities, Nixon has been charged with indecency with a child. Surveillance footage of the incident circulated on social media. Prosecutors stated in court that similar charges had been brought against him in two previous cases but were dismissed when his family did not pursue action.

The boy’s father expressed appreciation for witnesses who came forward, saying, “I couldn’t protect him that day, but he protected himself,” and echoed gratitude for the Good Samaritan.

“I would like to thank him,” the boy’s mother added.

Aramark released a statement confirming that Nixon is no longer an employee and assured they are cooperating with the police investigation.

Furthermore, the family has accused Aramark of hiring someone with a history that raises serious concerns about safety.

Authorities are still seeking witnesses, especially the Good Samaritan, to aid in their investigation.
