Man busted for stealing ammo and bacon from East Freedom Walmart

A man was arrested over the weekend in East Freedom, Pennsylvania, after shoplifting more than $1,100 worth of merchandise, including ammunition and bacon, from Walmart.

John Lee Pittman Jr., 32, of Houstontown, is charged with theft, receiving stolen property and possession of a prohibited firearm, according to a criminal complaint.

Officers found Pittman leaving the store pushing a cart loaded with a large quantity of merchandise, including bacon and other meats, and five boxes of Remington brand 12-gauge shotgun shells.

Pittman was found in possession of nearly 140 stolen items with a total value of approximately $1,180, according to the criminal complaint.

Pittman already had a warrant out of Fulton County for robbery, but he remains in custody at the Blair County Jail after being unable to post $10,000 bail.
