Man Calls Radio Show to Report Finding a Dead Body 18 Days Earlier, Leaving Host Shocked

Body Found in Frederick, Maryland Following Radio Call

A Washington, D.C., radio host received an unusual call on Tuesday from a man identifying himself as Joseph, who claimed he had discovered a dead body in Frederick, Maryland. However, he mentioned that “Joseph” wasn’t his real name.

During the call into DC 101’s “Morning Elliott,” he stated that he had stumbled upon the body about three weeks prior. The police, as of now, have not disclosed details regarding the victim and are conducting an ongoing investigation.

As he described his exploration, Joseph said, “Take some pictures of me exploring nature and see what I find.” To which host Elliott Segal promptly asked, “Hey, did you find a dead body?”

According to reports, the police confirmed that the remains were in an advanced state of decomposition. Joseph explained that he found them in a wooded area near a campsite that was part of a tent city.

Elliott urged him, “Hey, call the police. Call the police. Are the remains still at that campsite?” The police indicated there appears to be no ongoing threat to the public, and initial findings suggest no foul play involved.

Frederick resident Ray Rudolph commented on the situation, saying it “requires investigation to see if there is any connection.” Meanwhile, the Frederick Police Department has reported that they have not yet been able to definitively identify the individual due to the condition of the body. The discovery is being treated seriously, and the person who reported it is currently being interviewed by detectives. So far, the investigation indicates no foul play.

The department advised the community and media to await confirmed information and stated that more updates will be provided as they develop.
