Man charged for reportedly tossing a sex toy onto a WNBA court

WNBA Incident Leads to Arrest

A 23-year-old man is facing a series of charges, including disorderly conduct, public indecency, and criminal trespassing. This follows an incident where he allegedly concealed a neon green sex toy in his coat at a recent WNBA game.

Delbert Carver was booked into the Clayton County Jail in Georgia on Saturday. According to public records, his case is still pending, and he was released the following Sunday.

Reports indicate that Carver told police he believed the event should “go viral” and described it as a “joke.” It seems he attended the game with a friend.

The league issued a statement confirming that one individual had already been arrested and warned of more penalties for anyone who acts similarly in the arena. They stressed that “the safety and happiness of everyone in our arena is a top priority.” Objects thrown onto the court can create safety risks for players, officials, and spectators. Those who deliberately throw items are subject to a one-year ban in addition to possible arrest and prosecution.

Interestingly, a separate incident occurred at a recent Golden State Valkyries game against the Chicago Sky. WNBA player Sophie Cunningham took to social media to address these outrageous acts, urging fans to stop throwing objects like that. “You’ll hurt one of us,” she cautioned.

Meanwhile, Angel Reese humorously pointed fingers at her teammate Sidney Colson regarding the incidents. Colson playfully responded by sharing a photo of himself grinning in his green jacket, perhaps implying he was in on the joke.

This series of events certainly raises eyebrows about fan behavior at games, doesn’t it?
