A man in Hingham, Massachusetts, was taken into custody after reportedly taking photos of a woman and a teenage girl at a local shopping center, according to authorities.
The Hingham Police Department stated that 44-year-old Aedan Ford allegedly surreptitiously filmed with his cell phone while pushing a shopping cart that appeared to have his young daughter inside. His behavior was reportedly so blatant that another shopper spotted the illicit activity and alerted the Whole Foods manager, as referenced in court documents.

“It’s clear that in public spaces, there are many people around, especially with everyone having their phones,” remarked Hingham Police Chief Stephen Dyas.
Court documents indicate that Ford allegedly leaned over as if examining a fruit display while extending his phone under the victim’s skirt. Police also mentioned that the incident was captured on surveillance footage.
Further investigations found that the suspect may have engaged in similar behavior at another store. Reports suggest two instances involving victims under the age of 18, which the authorities deemed quite serious.
“They were able to identify what this individual typically referred to as ‘upskirt’ incidents, along with two other cases involving minors at Cole’s,” the outlet reported. (Related: Couple arrested after mom allegedly sold her 2-year-old daughter to a female dealer)
After being arrested at his home in Hanover, Ford pleaded not guilty. The court set strict conditions: he must stay away from the Derby Street Shop and, apart from his own children, cannot have unsupervised interactions with minors.
