Texas man wearing kilt arrested by several shoppers reported seeing He picked up items at two antique stores, shoved them into his rectum, and then put them back on the store shelves.
Harris County Officer Mark Herman said in a Facebook post that his department heard from several concerned residents about a man wearing a kilt at an antique store on Feb. 15.
Police said they identified the man as Mitchell Cooper Best and arrested him.
KPRC-TV obtained some surveillance footage of the man and included it in its report. It shows Best wandering through an antique store before sticking items under a quilt.
Police said he was charged with one count of criminal mischief.

Investigators said Best is suspected of defacing items at two antique stores in Spring, identified as Houston Antique Gallery and Curiosity Shop.
One store owner said the total value of the items Best had stained was $130, while the other store owner said the items stained in his store were worth $74.
Both store owners had to throw out the merchandise because it had feces on it, according to the affidavit.
“Both individuals provided video surveillance of the incident and wished to press charges,” police said.
Best was released from the Harris County Jail after posting only $100 bond.
“I was really shocked,” store owner Susan Golden told KPRC. “I had no idea what to say or think.”
