Man in PA McDonald’s Being Questioned About Brian Thompson’s Murder

A man believed to resemble the photo of the man New York City police have been searching for since the murder of Brian Thompson was taken in for questioning Monday at a McDonald's in Altoona, Pennsylvania.

Breitbart News reported that Thompson, 50, was killed at 6:44 a.m. Wednesday outside the Hilton Hotel in midtown Manhattan.

December 9, 2024 marks the sixth day of the search for the killer, with numerous reports indicating that police have taken the person for questioning in Altoona.

NBC New York quoted Sources said the man who was questioned was “found in possession of a gun similar to the one used in the shooting.”

Newsbuster Curtis Hock quotation CNN's John Miller says:

It begins as a normal day at a McDonald's in Altoona, Pennsylvania. There are about three McDonald's there, and the employees there saw this person, and there are pictures from the New York City Police Department of this masked person with the hood up on CNN and everywhere else. , where they're saying, look outside of New York, because we think the person has left the city, and she believes this person looks like the published photo. Because there is. She called 911 and called for the Altoona Police Department. They cater to McDonald's. They engage this person, have him identify himself, and as they search things, they discover a gun. They find a silencer.

There is some disagreement between reports as to whether the man being questioned worked at McDonald's or was simply at the restaurant. For example, another report from CNN say“The 26-year-old man was picked up at a McDonald's in Altoona after an employee thought he looked like the man in the NYPD photo and called police.”

Mr Miller also suggested that the man questioned was allegedly found to be in possession of “multiple false identification documents”.

PBS News noticed Altoona is located “approximately 333 miles” west of New York City.
