The main suspect in a Houston-area murder was found dead by law enforcement officials Friday.
John Venegas Romero, 24, was found in the town of Needville after Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report of a person seen hanging.
Romero is accused of stabbing his wife, Annie Tatiana Montealegre Izquierdo, 23, to death on October 14 at the couple's home near Richmond. The location where Romero was found is about two miles from where he is believed to have been last seen alive, deputies said.

Izquierdo's family said they hope her body will be repatriated to Colombia. Diaz said the case is under investigation and could take several weeks.
“We are going through the process step by step, but unfortunately it is not a short process. It will probably take four to six weeks to repatriate the bodies,” Diaz said.
