A Jewish woman was reportedly kidnapped, raped, given death threats and sex trafficked by a man seeking “revenge against Palestine.”
On Sunday, police arrested a 32-year-old man (whose name has not yet been released) in the Genevilliers commune on the northwest outskirts of Paris on suspicion of kidnapping, rape and “threat to kill on religious grounds.” Le Parisien report.
The woman reportedly met the man a week before the incident. After going to her home, the man allegedly refused to let her leave and stole her cell phone.
According to police sources, the man sent a message to the alleged victim’s mother saying, “Do your best. You’ll never find your daughter again. You’ll never see her again. I’ll sell her into prostitution.”
In another message sent to the woman’s ex-lover, the man said he had taken the Jewish woman for “revenge against Palestine.”
Eventually, the woman got her cell phone back and called the police. The French National Police’s elite Brigade of Investigation and Intervention (BRI) units were able to locate her call and eventually free the woman from the apartment.

The man is expected to appear in court on June 21 to be charged with drug use and “making a written death threat on religious grounds.” Prosecutors said “further investigation is required” into the rape charge.
