Man Wakes Up to Scorpion Stinging Him in Groin at Las Vegas Resort

A California man is suing a Las Vegas resort after he claims a scorpion stung him in a sensitive area while he was sleeping.

Michael Furch told KABC he’s still around. suffering On December 26th, several months after that fateful morning at the Venetian Resort on the Las Vegas Strip, he was cleared of health issues.

“I woke up with a sharp pain in my genitals,” he said. “I didn’t know what it was. I reached under the duvet to see what was going on, and then I felt another sharp pain.”

Faruqui said he was on vacation with his family when he discovered a scorpion in his boxers after being stung three or four times.

“It felt like someone had stabbed me in the genitals,” he said. Said class. “It felt like sharp glass or a knife.”

Photos provided by Faruqui and his lawyer show a small orange creature, but the exact species name has not been disclosed.

“He didn’t even ask me how I got into the room,” the victim said. “It was under my covers.”

He reported the incident to staff at the Venetian, stating that he had been “bitten in the groin and testicles by a scorpion” around 8am, and doctors said: At a local hospital, it was determined that the man had actually been stung by a scorpion.

Faruqui’s family cut short their stay at the hotel and checked out the next day.

KLAS reported that the hotel compensated him for the room, but Falci told KABC he still had to pay for his stay.

He is currently suing Venetian for an unspecified amount.

“The resort has procedures in place for all incidents and we can confirm that they were followed in this case,” Venetian authorities said in a statement to KLAS.
