Georgia police say a man already indicted for starving his daughter to death addition He was accused of attacking another inmate in the prison, stabbing him with a homemade weapon.
Rodney McWay, 32, was already facing a string of charges related to the death of 4-year-old Treasure McWay and the torture of other family members. He will now face additional charges for allegedly assaulting an inmate in an attempt to steal his belongings.

Atlanta police said officers were called to Hughes Spalding Children’s Medical Center in Atlanta on Dec. 11 where they found a girl who was brought in severely malnourished. She was pronounced dead a short time later.
An autopsy revealed that the girl weighed just 25 pounds at the time of her death, and detectives described her as “just bones.”
police Interviewed Police searched McWay’s filthy apartment and found only expired eggs and milk in the house. Three children lived in the home, but police said they found no clothing for the children.
McWay was charged with murder, first-degree child abuse, second-degree child abuse, kidnapping and false imprisonment.
he Charged He faces three additional felony counts for attempted robbery, including that of his alleged victim, Duriker Humphrey, who is also serving time in prison for murder.
“Yes, I stabbed him,” Humphrey said in the incident report.
“He came into my room with the shank and tried to rob my shop,” he continued. “We got into a scuffle… He dropped the shank… I picked it up and stabbed him with it.”
Authorities found deep wounds on McWay’s cheek, neck and shoulder, and two wounds on his back. Humphrey was not charged but faced disciplinary action.
WAGA-TV reported that the investigation concluded the girl’s death could have been prevented if Department of Family and Children Services officials had worked better with Atlanta police.
