The man who shot and killed two police officers and a firefighter/paramedic Sunday morning in Burnsville, Minnesota, has been identified as 38-year-old Shannon Cortez Gooden.
Boyfriend 11 report Gooden was “prohibited from possessing a firearm as a result of a 2008 second-degree felony assault with a deadly weapon conviction.”
They noted that Gooden sought to have his firearms rights reinstated in 2019, but 1st District Court Judge Dania Edwards denied it.
Breitbart News reports that police officers Matthew Ruge and Paul Elmstrand and firefighter/paramedic Adam Finseth attacked Gooden shortly before 2 a.m. on Sunday, February 18, 2024. It was reported that he was shot and killed while answering a domestic phone call at his home.
Gooden was found dead inside his home around 8 a.m. by KARE 11. It pointed out His death was a suicide.
Keithy observed A statement from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Investigation said Gooden “had several firearms and a large amount of ammunition in his home” when he killed the police officer and emergency worker.
