Restaurant Owner Attacked by Knife-Wielding Woman in San Francisco

In a disturbing incident, security footage captured a woman armed with a knife repeatedly attacking a restaurant owner in San Francisco. This happened as Azmi Mullait, a father of three, confronted her about suspected drug use at his establishment, Shawarma Azmi, on Saturday night.

The video shows the woman becoming aggressive, throwing a tip bottle at Mullait, who was behind the register. As the altercation escalated, they ended up in the kitchen. Mullait described how she relentlessly followed him, pleading, “Please don’t, I don’t have anything,” while indicating that the knife was accessible on the table.

As the footage revealed, the woman wielded a substantial knife, persistently swinging it at Mullait, who was trying to defend himself with a cardboard box. In a moment of quick thinking, he grabbed a metal colander to shield himself. Ultimately, he managed to escape and locked the attacker inside while he called the police. Though it’s unclear how many times he was stabbed, he remarkably suffered only minor injuries.

Reflecting on the harrowing experience, Mullait shared, “All I could think about was my family.” He added, “As you can see in the video, one second can kill you. But God can do what we cannot do.”

The unnamed woman was later apprehended. However, it remains uncertain whether she faces charges related to the attack.
