Democrats launched a new ad Friday featuring singer Marc Anthony, who appears to have spread falsehoods and aired a campaign list to scare fellow Latinos into voting for Kamala Harris. .
In one egregious example, the commercial uses an infamous 2018 photo of a crying immigrant toddler to explain President Trump's border separation policies. It was later determined that the girl had not been separated from her mother, and that her mother had only put her down for a moment when the photo was taken.
The new ad appears to be from ABC. desperate housewives The Latino Victory PAC, led by star Eva Longoria, aims to elect radical left-wing candidates to office.
Marc Anthony, who is from Puerto Rico, painted President Trump as a racist and even accused him of maliciously throwing paper towels at Puerto Ricans in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. In fact, President Trump helped aid workers distribute relief supplies when he threw packages of paper towels into the crowd to expedite the process.
In another example, Marc Anthony criticized then-President Trump for withholding billions of dollars in federal aid to Puerto Rico after the hurricane. What he fails to mention is that Puerto Rican politicians have grossly mismanaged the relief effort, resulting in relief supplies not being distributed and social chaos spiraling.
“I'm Marc Anthony, remember. That's why I support Kamala Harris for president,” the singer says.
The commercial's use of a photo of an immigrant toddler, shamelessly enhanced with a sound effect of a child crying, is particularly disingenuous. The photo was fact-checked even by left-wing media outlets, including PolitiFact, who concluded that the girl was a photo of a young girl. We weren't separated from her mother.
Recent polls show that former President Donald Trump is gaining support among Latino voters, sending Democratic elites into a state of panic.
As reported by Breitbart News, a New York Times/Siena College poll finds Vice President Kamala Harris leading the past three Democratic White House candidates among Latino voters as Trump gains support. It was shown that they were lagging behind.
