Marilyn Monroe's California home is on sale for $3.3 million

A mansion once owned by Marilyn Monroe in Palm Springs is now on the market for $3.3 million.

This midcentury modern gem, often referred to as the “Marilyn Monroe Doll House,” was in her possession until her passing in 1962.

Constructed just a year before her untimely death, the property is situated in the upscale Vista Las Palmas area. It spans 3,000 square feet and includes four bedrooms and four bathrooms.

The house was designed by architect Charles Du Bois and built by Alexander Construction Company, creating a hallmark of the city’s character.

Though it has undergone updates over the years, the home still holds onto its original vintage allure.

According to listing agent David Emerson, the earlier owners were true to the midcentury style and aimed to preserve that essence.

This residence boasts a generous living area complete with a fireplace, a dining nook, and a retro semi-circular bar.

Additionally, sliding glass doors encase the primary living space, opening up to an outdoor area that features a patio, pool, hot tub, and fire pit, all with picturesque views of the San Jacinto Mountains.

Currently, Nick Adler, the founder of M Star Studios, is listed as the owner of this remarkable property.

Monroe, widely recognized as one of the most iconic sex symbols of the 1950s, passed away at 36 due to a barbiturate overdose at her Brentwood home. The coroner’s report deemed her death a “possible suicide.”
