One U.S. Marine died Sunday in a vehicle rollover crash in Twentynine Palms, California, the Marine Corps said.
The Marine, who was assigned to the Tactical Training Exercise Control Group, was confirmed dead Sunday, according to a social media post from Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms.
He was involved in a rollover accident in a High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle at the Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center on Saturday, the post said.

The Marine was taken to Robert E. Bush Naval Hospital in Twentynine Palms and then flown to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, California, where he was pronounced dead.
No other Marines were injured in the incident.
The Marine’s identity will not be released until 24 hours after all next of kin have been notified of the death.

“We extend our deepest condolences to the Marine’s family, friends and colleagues during this difficult time,” Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms said in a statement.
The incident remains under investigation.
