Mariska Hargitay Takes in Knicks Game from Courtside

Mariska Hargitay’s courtside seat offered an intriguing perspective, perhaps not what you’d anticipate for such a prime location. During the Knicks’ 115-111 Game 3 defeat against the Spurs at Madison Square Garden, her view was partly obstructed when the referee stationed himself on her side of the court.

In some shots, you can catch the actress peeking around the referee to get a glimpse of the action alongside her co-star Christopher Meloni.

For those who thought, “I can’t miss it,” it must’ve been frustrating to find parts of the game hidden from view. While not every ticket was exorbitant, two courtside seats famously auctioned for $1 million, indicating some serious enthusiasm. Hargitay, being a regular at Knicks games, likely finds her way into that celebrity row without trouble.

Game 3 set the record for the highest average ticket price in NBA Finals history at $7,149, according to SeatGeek.

Interestingly, Knicks guard Jalen Brunson shares an unexpected bond with Hargitay, rooted in his childhood love for SVU. He mentioned on “The Roommates Show,” a podcast he co-hosts, that watching the show with his dad was a special tradition. “I’ve never been so obsessed with a superstar before,” he reflected. When they finally met, he was visibly starstruck.

Their interactions during games have sparked a friendship, culminating in their attendance at the premiere of “My Mama Jane” at the Tribeca Film Festival last year. Hargitay even revealed that she gained inspiration from security guards for her Broadway role in “Every Brilliant Thing.”

Brunson, who led the Knicks through the postseason, averaged 26.6 points, with an impressive 35 points in Game 3. He also contributed 6.3 assists and 2.9 rebounds during the match.

As the series progresses, Game 4 is set to take place on Wednesday night, before heading back to San Antonio for Game 5 on Saturday.
