Marist polls: Harris leads Trump in Michigan, Wisconsin; they're tied in Pennsylvania

According to the latest Marist College battleground state poll, Vice President Harris has a five-point lead over former President Trump among Michigan voters and a slight lead in Wisconsin, while the two candidates are tied in Pennsylvania.

In Michigan, 52% of voters supported Harris and 47% supported Trump, while in Wisconsin, 50% supported Harris and 49% supported Trump.

A survey in the battleground state of Pennsylvania found that Harris and Trump each received the support of 49% of the state's voters.

In Michigan, Harris' lead among independents narrowed, with 49% supporting her to 47% supporting Trump. Among white voters, Trump led 50% to Harris's 48%. Among black voters, Harris led 77% to Trump's 21%.

Among Michigan's male and female voters, voters were evenly split, with Trump leading among men with 52 percent to Harris' 47 percent, and Harris leading among women with 56 percent to Trump's 41 percent.

In Wisconsin, Harris only beat Trump among independents, 51 percent to Trump's 47 percent.

Harris received 50 percent support from white voters compared with Trump's 49 percent, and she also led among non-white voters with 56 percent to Trump's 43 percent.

And in Wisconsin, Harris led Trump among both men and women: She led Trump among women, 56 percent to 43 percent, while Trump led Harris among men, 53 percent to 45 percent.

Trump led Harris among independents in Pennsylvania, 49% to 45%.

Harris also narrowly led her among white voters, 51 percent to 48 percent, while she led among non-white voters, 59 percent to 38 percent.

Among Pennsylvania voters, Trump led Harris 54-44 among men, while Harris led Trump 55-43 among women.

Another recent survey of the same states found the vice president leading the former president in all three battleground states. A Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday found Harris leading Trump by six points in Pennsylvania, five points in Michigan and one point in Wisconsin.

Meanwhile, Hill/Decision Desk polls show the race close in all three battleground states, with Harris up 1.4 percentage points in Michigan, 2.6 percentage points in Wisconsin and 1 percentage point in Pennsylvania.

The Marist poll was conducted September 12-17. The Michigan survey involved 1,354 adults and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points. The Wisconsin survey involved 1,431 adults and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.3 percentage points. The Pennsylvania survey involved 1,754 adults and has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.9 percentage points.
