mark levin Recently, I spoke with Jewish journalist Libby Aron and discussed the arrests of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, and Hamas military commander Mohammed Deif for war crimes and crimes against humanity in the ongoing conflict between Israel. We discussed the International Criminal Court's decision to issue a warrant. And Hamas.
“Let's start with the most important question: What do you think about the ICC's decision to issue arrest warrants for Prime Minister Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant?” Aron asked.
“The ICC has become a Marxist-Islamist, Jew-hating organization,” Levin says. “The idea that the Israeli people and representatives of their government are committing genocide and war crimes against Palestinians in Gaza is sickening. It is a bloody libel.”
“The fact is that Hamas is killing its own people. The fact of the matter is that Iran is using the Palestinians as bait, and that Israel and the Israelis are clearly trying to eviscerate and destroy themselves. They're just trying to live their lives without all these people bothering them,” he added.
“So what do you think the United States should do?” was Aron's next question.
“My view is that they should pass a law that says, 'Okay, now we have jurisdiction over the ICC and we have jurisdiction over all the jurisdictions that the ICC claims.' If they can do it, why can't we?'' Levin said.
He added: “When it comes to the United Nations and its funding, etc., we will identify the source of that funding and do everything we can to cut it off. 25% of the UN budget comes from the United States, and the American people “We're tired of the United Nations. Most Americans want it completely removed from this country,” he added.
“Trump imposed sanctions on the ICC in 2020. The Biden administration lifted those sanctions in 2021. Is there any connection between the lifting of these sanctions and the warrants that Prime Minister Netanyahu and Gallant are obtaining? Do you think there is?” So Aaron asked.
“100%,” Levin says. “Biden and Blinken could have put an end to this. They could say, 'No, we're going to reinstate Trump sanctions on the ICC.'”
“What do you think signatories to the treaty should do?'' Aron posed.
“They should speak out against what is happening,” Levin says, but he points out that this is highly unlikely due to corrupt left-wing governments in Europe.
Aron also asked how Prime Minister Netanyahu should react to the ICC's decision, and what the future holds for U.S.-Israel relations now that President Trump is back in the White House.
