Levin Critiques Trump Over Israel’s Treatment
Fox News host Mark Levin has accused President Donald Trump of “bashing” and “bullying” Israel in his recent statements on social media and during a lengthy monologue on his Saturday show.
In a press conference on Thursday, Vice President J.D. Vance criticized Israeli officials for their reaction to a memorandum signed by Trump with Iran, which aimed to establish a 60-day window for negotiations toward a conclusive peace deal. Levin’s remarks were particularly sharp, lasting over 17 minutes, where he expressed his disdain for Trump’s approach.
Levin said, “For those inside and outside the regime: Stop trolling, slandering, and bullying the small state of Israel. Don’t pretend that Iran’s regime is now a more rational partner we can engage with.” He pointed out the brutalities committed by the Iranian government, including recent executions, warning that if they possessed nuclear missiles, they would likely target the U.S.
He stated, “I don’t know what’s happening, but if people think bullying a nation like Israel, which has survived thousands of years of threats, into abandoning their self-defense is acceptable, they’re mistaken. I think that’s outrageous.”
Levin also took to social media to criticize Trump’s decision to accept a modified Boeing 747 from Qatar, which he suggested was a lavish gift. He noted the considerable delays affecting government contracts for new aircraft, with the delivery now pushed to 2028.
“If it’s legal and other countries are doing it, then that’s alright. Should wealthy nations be able to give extravagant gifts to our leaders?” Levin commented on X.
He further lamented Trump’s criticism of Israel’s response to attacks from Hezbollah, asserting that the memorandum included no concrete enforcement measures. Levin expressed frustration over claims that Israel’s interests weren’t aligned with those of the U.S., calling such assertions ridiculous.
In another tweet, Levin remarked, “It seems like the ceasefire will last only as long as Israeli soldiers are being killed.”
On Sunday, Trump issued a warning to Iran via Truth Social, indicating that the U.S. might resort to further military action if Hezbollah’s provocations continued.
Trump stated, “Iran must immediately stop its highly paid proxies in Lebanon from causing unrest. If they fail to do so, we will strike Iran very hard again, possibly even harder than last week!”
The U.S. and Israel launched a military operation against Iran on February 28 after negotiations concerning Iran’s nuclear development ambitions fell through, resulting in the deaths of key regime officials, including Khamenei, on the first day of the mission. Reports suggest that Trump was persuaded to take military action following a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, despite concerns voiced by Vance and other officials in the administration.
